3 Long Island events to check out this holiday season

The 2024 Holiday season is just around the corner. To gear up for the festivities and get you in the holiday spirit, Long Island’s got you covered. Here are five must-see events this holiday season worth their salt (or snow)!

  1. The Jones Beach Holiday Light Show

    Taking place from November 22nd to January 4th, the Magic of Lights holiday drive-through at Jones Beach has returned for the 2024 holiday season. This event is a consistent hit, delighting Long Islanders of all ages with their impeccable light show without even having to leave your car! The Magic of Lights event will run Sunday-Thursday (5-10 pm) and Friday-Saturday (5-11 pm) at 1000 Ocean Parkway, Wantagh. Prices range from $20-35 per carload. 

    2. Old Fashioned Babylon Village Christmas

      When it comes to maintaining the traditional Christmas spirit, Babylon does it best. On December 6th from 5:00-9:00 P.M., residents of Babylon Village will take to the streets for a night of hot chocolate, s’mores, ice skating, and even a carousel! This free event can’t be missed. 

      3. Long Beach Electric Light Parade

        An LED-adorned parade of fire trucks, bicycles, and floats—with an award promised to the most festive—will be taking place on West Beech Street, starting at Ohio Avenue. Participating local restaurants will offer hot chocolate and other holiday treats! Be sure to check it out on Saturday, December 14th, starting at 6:00 P.M.
