3 Long Island Memorial Day Events to Check Out This Weekend!

For many Long Islanders, Memorial Day Weekend is considered a hallmark of the beginning of summer! Whether you’re at the beach, attending a parade, or practicing your BBQ skills, Long Island has a lot to offer for the fun three-day weekend. Here are 3 notable activities and events to check out this Memorial Day!

  1. The FourLeaf Air Show at Jones Beach!

Considered the universal main event of a Long Island Memorial Day weekend, the Jones Beach Air Show is not to be missed. This year, it will be headlined by the United States Air Force Thunderbirds! 

Sponsored by Fourleaf (formerly known as Bethpage Federal Credit Union), the show will take place on the coastline of Jones Beach Island from Sunday, May 25, 2025,  to Monday, May 26, 2025, from 10 am to 3 pm. Parking lots and beach capacities fill up fast, so be sure to arrive early!

  1. Massapequa Park’s Memorial Day Parade

If you’re interested in paying tribute to the veterans through a lively parade, look no further than the Massapequa Park Memorial Day Parade! In conjunction with the town Village and the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts, the parade will be accessible down Massapequa Park’s iconic Park Boulevard, featuring veterans, active members of the military, and many other members of the community! 

The parade will begin on May 26, 2025, at 10 am—starting on Front Street and continuing down to Park Boulevard!

  1. Tanger Outlets Deer Park Foodie Fest

If you’re looking to beat the crowds that the beaches and parades may offer, and you’re an avid ‘foodie’, check out the Deer Park Tanger Outlets’ Foodie Fest! The festival, which is free to enter and attend, features a wide range of activities and delicious food options. 

Food will be provided by artisan vendors and a variety of high-quality food trucks. There are also many other interesting activities for younger attendees, such as free ice cream, a kids’ funzone, and music! 

The festival will occur May 24, 2025, through May 25, 2025, taking place from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
