It’s coming down to the last few weeks of summer. In these final weeks of warmth, take a break, get outside, spend time by the water, and embrace your coastal clothing looks before it’s time for Fall! There have been a variety of trends that East Coasters have been keeping up with this summer. Whether coming off the beach to visit the closest dive bar or dressing up for a night on the town, coastal clothing trends are a great style to match the summer vibe here on the East Coast. 

1. Sweaters

Who doesn’t love a cozy sweater after that evening beach swim? A lightweight sweater can be styled in any circumstance. Whether you’re at the beach during a windy day or chilling out on a brisk night under the stars, a sweater of your choice is the perfect option that matches the coastal vibe and keeps you comfortable. You can also style a sweater of your choice with a pair of jeans for a night out on the town. Get creative with this comfortable coastal look! 

2. Linens 

Looking for another cozy and lightweight style option? Linens are the perfect beach cover-up or social event option. Pair linen shirts with a pair of jeans or match them with a pair of linen pants. You can never go wrong with a matching linen set when you’re out at breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the East Coast. 

3. Striped patterns 

Any striped pattern is sure to make you match the coastal/nautical vibe. You can pair a striped t-shirt, sweater, or long-sleeve with a pair of white jeans, denim jeans, or white linens. Black, blue, and white striped patterns are typically the look when choosing colors to wear. Dress up this look with a pair of sneakers, sandals, or loafers. 

4. Floral prints

Headed to a winery, a brunch, or a social event? A staple option for these circumstances is the all-favored elegance of floral print. Floral prints come in shirts, dresses, pants, and even hats. Take your pick and create a summer style that you love.

Everyone knows that an outfit is never complete without a final touch of your choice. Dress up any summer outfit with accessories, such as a purse, a hat, a tote bag, a satchel, jewelry, or sunglasses. Whatever accessories that you decide to pair with your coastal outfit, be sure to match them with the color patterns you have on and choose what you feel suits you!
